Name

Please enter a name to describe the marker. This name will show up in the list of enabled when you want to add a marker. It might be an idea to keep the name as short as possible, to reduce the width of this list.

Type

Two different marker types are available:

• Toggle - the marker can be turned on and off, and may span over several profiles (time slices). A bar horizontal bar will be visible in the time graph.
• Single - the marker will only last for one period. A vertical line will be visible in the time graph.

Color

Please select an appropriate color to differentiate the marker from the others.

Action

An action may be assigned to the marker, and performed while or when the marker is activated depending on the marker type.

• Reference tone - this action play a reference tone when the marker is activated. The reference tone setup is available in the Instrument menu.
• Recording - a sound recording is performed while the marker is activated. The Recording is configured in the measurement menu.
• Picture - picture is taken when the trigger is activated.
• Digital ouput - a digital output on the I/O plug may be activated along with the marker.

Do not forget to enable the marker as well.
