Level statistics (also called Percentiles or Distribution) describes how the sound level is distributed over time. The level from the selected time weighting and network (or filter) is sampled 10 times per second and put in the corresponding class.
After a while there will be enough samples in the statistics register and the results can be shown graphically and numerically in the "Ln View".
The class width is 0.2 dB and there are 652 classes available covering 130 dB range (from 10 to 140 dB plus classes for above 140 dB and below 10 dB).
The statistics are available for the three weighting networks and all the octave and third octave frequencies in global.
In profile mode the statistics are available also for the individual time periods if the period length is two minutes or more.
